25 Years of Building the Israeli South: Dad's Story.

25 Years of Building the Israeli South: Dad's Story.

Today Dad officially said his goodbyes to his role as the head of Architecture and its creator, the largest section of Sapir University in Israel, the hardest to get accepted to and with the most finishing students at distinction grades. Your students are brave and strong women and men who build the south of Israel to be beautiful like you always teach, safe and prosperous. The earliest section in Sapir to get back to functioning even soon after October 7th after sadly so many of Sapir teachers were murdered as well as students and their families. You helped them recover, heal, get up and literally, rebuild their lives. You stayed strong following this insane trauma, found rescue homes and helped families reconnect following the events. From a little boy who had no money for pencils and paper to audition for art school so he painted with shoe paste and a knife onto stretched T shirt on a box, you’ve built a life of art, philosophy and progress. Proud of my Dad, my teacher and my inspiration, David Cohen Skaly. New endeavours incoming from this incredible artist I call Dad.
